Welcome to the FD introductory barbell course. In this program you will learn how to properly perform the barbell deadlift, squat, military press and bench press. This program will not only prepare you for the demands of being a firefighter but will also make you more resilient for everyday life. This introductory course consists of 1 basic barbell program that uses linear progression to make you stronger in an intelligent and effective way. In addition, the program contains a video with fellow firefighters completing the workout. This video is designed for you to follow along with periodically to become comfortable performing the movements correctly while learning the appropriate pace. Respect the structure, complete it as designed and you will see a gain in muscle, strength and resiliency.
